The school insists on having an arts assembly in December, one of those mish-mash &quot;Holiday&quot; assemblies, where they talk and sing about all of the
winter holidays. What a mess. They don&#39;t do justice to any of the holidays and make all of the holidays seem equivalent, that everyone celebrates one so
take your pick!

I knew Rachel when she was 4yrs old. Her mom and I worked together. Both her parents are very driven. Her mom was a molecular biologist and her dad has a Ph.D.
in chemical engineering. I remember Rachel being on the ice at 5:30am before pre-school!!!! It&#39;s so exciting to watch her as career unfolds.... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I&#39;ve never needed a math curriculum for a 4 year old before...I just made stuff up, played games and taught them through everyday stuff.  But ds4.5 is
getting somewhat neglected in the learning arena since I am ramping up homeschooling his brothers.  He needs seat work to do anyhow while his brothers are
learning so it might as well be meaningful work.

We use Singapore for the other 2 and I think he could handle 1A, but being in pre-K, I am sure there is not enough work... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ WHen on a playdate, DD fell in love with baby dolls. SHe talks constantly about getting a baby doll for Christmas. Do you have any recommendations? The one she
played with had a soft body. Most of the dolls I&#39;ve seen have hard bodies. I saw a cute My First Infant baby by the Baby ALlive line I think which had soft
body but hard hands and feet and head which I think she&#39;ll like.

			<description><![CDATA[ As many of you know, we&#39;ve been dealing with Wake County&#39;s diversity policy for years.  This involves numerous kids being assigned to schools on the
other side of county in order to achieve economic balance. It hasn&#39;t worked because some schools like our magnet were still at 70% Free and Reduced Lunch.
Every year kids get reassigned and some kids end up going to a different school every year. We had another big stink when some elementary and middle schools
