			<description><![CDATA[ <p>So, after seeking a second opinion, I guess it is official - dd has an allergy to walnuts and must avoid all tree nuts.  DD hates nuts, so avoiding the
obvious nuts shouldn&#39;t be too bad.  However, dd is very angry.  She doesn&#39;t want anyone to know and doesn&#39;t want an epipen.  (Both, obviously,are
necessary.)  I suppose I have to contact the school tomorrow and start filling prescriptions and filling out forms.  I am at a loss as to how to make this
easier for dd. </p> ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I am wondering if anyone here is dealing with auditory processing or other hearing issues of a more complex nature.  DS7.5, between 6 and 7 years of age,
failed the basic 4-tone hearing test at the ped&#39;s numerous times.  However, he would miss different tones in different ears each time, missing one tone the
1st time and a different tone the 2nd time.  They said he was compliant.  Eventually he passed.  They thus decided there was no reason for a referral.

			<description><![CDATA[ Does anyone have any information about interpreting results of the Woodcock Johnson III Educational Achievement tests?  DS had to take this test as part of the Child Study Team's evaluation, and although they have given their interpretation and recommendation, I am interested in additional and/or independent interpretation of the results.   I have a close friend who is a child psychologist in private practice but she is away at the moment...<br><br>Thanks for your help.<br> ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Haven't been around in a long while-ADD diagnosis ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ But my oldest (13.11) has really struggled academically. I thought AS'ing was the only way to help him because I have resisted any type of *diagnosis* and medication.<br><br>We had a core evaluation that really suggested ADD, and I went to the pediatrician-who recommended we see a neurologist.  Two neurologists later (mom is a stickler for diagnosis' what can I say!) I am told to just give the ADD diagnosis a fair shot.  Boy is taking Adderall now, as well as getting an IEP for 'study skills'... ]]></description>
