			<description><![CDATA[ Abby&#39;s been invited to something new. All the kids who scored in the 99% on the Cogat in 3rd grade are invited, as 5th graders to attend a special
&quot;class&quot; this year. There are 9 days this year where she will go from 11:45-1:30 and take her lunch to another school where all the district kids in
this category will meet. They&#39;ll learn about multiple intelligences, challenging themselves and get time to just get to know each other.  The district did

here.  It was fairly superficial as he only had 1.5 hrs and was also answering questions but it helped readjust how I view things.

Tuesday folders with dates of the county GT meetings and a link to the web site.  When I tried to talk to the GT counselor - her response was I travel to 3
different schools and I am difficult to get a hold of. She never gave me direct information when things were due - always  referred me to the time table on the

			<description><![CDATA[ I found and bought these study guides on amazon.  My dd said they looked like the same test she just took, but not the same problems.  If you have kids with
testing issues this might be a good review on what the test is looking for before they took it.   They are very expensive for what you get.  You get one sample
test and the book is closer in size to a paperback book then a work book.  So the words are small.  However I wish I had these before my kids took the test 1)

			<title><![CDATA[ What to do in a whole school TAG pull-out? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Our school does not have any separate instruction for gifted students. The school councelor is responsible for being the TAG coordinator along with all her
other hats and all she does is a 30 minutes weekly pull-out for all the TAG kids together, about 15 kids, grade 2-6. This year our school has a new staff
member in that role who has never done TAG before. I&#39;ve been waiting to see how she does in this position. The previous TAG coordinator ran a pretty sloppy

			<description><![CDATA[ I know we&#39;ve talked about this program before but I couldn&#39;t find it in a search?  Has anyone here participated? Abby&#39;s gifted teacher sent home
the application to register to take the EXPLORE test (older kids take the ACT or SAT). Summer programs are available at Denver University, Johns Hopkins,
Northwestern, and Duke..  Abby wants to take the test so we&#39;re going to register her for January.  We&#39;re not committing to anything beyond taking the

			<description><![CDATA[ where you&#39;re amazed by your gifted child and think maybe you&#39;re not doing all you can for them? We just got back the state 3rd grade assessments. Abby
got a math score that I didn&#39;t think was possible, it was a perfect score so she must have gotten full points on all the questions. It&#39;s sort of
overwhelming and humbling to think about the brain walking around in that body... And sometimes I question that she&#39;s having the opportunities she needs to
